Who are We
Firstsource began operations in December 2001 as a business process back office in India. Since that time, we have grown rapidly from 50 employees to more than 26,000 employees company-wide. U.S. operations contribute approximately 60% of total Firstsource revenues and employ more than 4500 people across 30 processing centers. Within the U.S., we currently operate in two distinct business verticals, Healthcare and Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI).
The Healthcare vertical serves more than 1,000 healthcare providers and payers nationally and is a respected leader in healthcare revenue cycle management.
Within BFSI, our banking and financial services, insurance vertical, Firstsource partners with 6 of the top 10 U.S. banks and 8 of the top 10 general purpose credit card issuers. Over the years, we have acquired companies to expand our business, carefully selecting companies with goals and missions compatible with Firstsource.
- Firstsource acquired FirstRing Inc. in July 2003 providing credit card service capabilities
- The acquisition of Account Solution Group in September 2004 gave us broad access to accounts receivable markets as well as to an impressive blue chip client base
- RevIT Systems, acquired in March 2005, strengthened our transactions processing capabilities and facilitated our entry into the healthcare payer industry
- Business Process Management was acquired in December 2006 and strengthened our presence in the healthcare industry by providing significant experience and expertise in claims outsourcing and adjudication
- In August 2007, Firstsource acquired MedAssist that brought us to the forefront of core provider healthcare service
- Firstsource acquired a portion of Barclaycard's U.S. operations in February 2008, significantly enhancing our credit card servicing capabilities
